AMBER VITO grew up in rural Nelson. Her parents ran New Zealand’s first gluten-free bakery, Dovedale Bread. Roland and Chrissie had travelled extensively, so she was very lucky to grow up in a family passionate about food from all cultures. A media graduate and wordsmith, Amber moved to Wellington to finish her postgrad study, which is where she met her husband Victor. Five years on they are happily married and have a five-month-old son, Karlos.
DAISY DAGG was brought up in Gisborne around the beach and the barbecue. She met her husband, current Crusader and All Black Israel Dagg, at high school and the two have lived in many locations since. Daisy has a degree in sports science, a diploma in interior design and owns a small interior business called Daisy Chain Interiors. She enjoys fishing, horse riding, travelling, playing sports and eating.
